Juice Aleem on DJ Cro's Main Ingredient Show

If you've already listened to the Suspect Packages Radio and need your next podcast/radio type fix then head on over to the Main Ingredient blog. DJ cro has already uploaded yesterday's show which includes Juice Aleem live in the studio with tracks from his new album (which is absolutely excellent - keep 'em peeled for a review here).

The playlist also contains some of the freshest UK and US Hip Hop from the likes of Micall Parknsun, DJ JS1, O.C., Pharoahe Monch, Masta Ace, DJ Spinna, Ghostface, AZ, Inspectah Deck and Finale.

'Fruit Salad' - Metabeats (streaming)

Metabeats' 2007 LP 'Metaphysical' was one of my favourite UK albums of that year, even if I did get onto it a little late. It came out on the excellent Associated Minds label who have an awesome roster and have been dropping some gems over the last year or so.

Metabeats has just dropped this beauty entitled 'Fruit Salad' and it may or not be taken from his forthcoming LP 'Sledgehammer Kisses'. I'll echo the Mayor's challenge: try not to nod! It's impossible! This is on that spacey, futuristic, swinging tip - get involved:

Suspect Packages Radio Show August

Suspect Packages Radio. August. Free Download/Stream. Features Tactical Thinking, Micall Parknsun, Orphans of Cush, Karl Hinds, Lowkey, Koaste, Elemental & Tom Caruana, Juice Aleem, Contact Play, Big Cakes, Double D Dagger, Foreign Beggars and loads more new stuff that even I've not heard yet - lucky I'm on holiday and can just blast it then.

As Disorda says "No special guests though due to shear amount of tunage to get through (which gives me more time to vent my anger at bootlegging blogs), but wait 'till next month on the guest tip". I'm not a bootlegging blog so I'm in the clear.

'Breeze' ft. Panache, Hypes & Bigz - Highrise (video)

Think I've got this right - Highrise is the production outfit and Panache, Hypes and Bigz are the MCs and the name of the track is 'Breeze'. It's taken from Panache's forthcoming 'The Flux Capacitator' mixtape/album. Manchester stand up.

'New Day' ft. Soweto Kinch - Chima Anya (video)

Here's Chima Anya's latest track complete with slick video and Soweto Kinch feature - this is his best work yet in my opinion!

Task Force, Kashmere, Verb T, Inja Live at Rapsloitation Sessions!

Make sure you can make it for this big big line up! So many heads and all for only £6! Big up Truth!

'From London To Berlin' - Manny Moscow (free download)

Don't ask how he does it - just accept that he does. London's Manny Moscow, hot on the heels of 'Live From The Kremlin', has dropped 'From London To Berlin' - a 21 track mixtape from himself and Germany's DJ Easy.

The mixtape kicks off with two tracks from his ‘The Three Piece Exkursion’ EP before moving onto a selection of exclusives, produced tracks and freestyles featuring guest verses from LATE, Conman and Shepherd and production from Mr. Bills, Spectral, 9Lives, J Romes, Loko from Hill Productions and of course Tricksta who makes these things happen the way they do.

If I had to draw a comparison (and I'm not in the habit of doing this) then I'd say fans of Klashnekoff should grab a download to hear some serious, lyrical street observations.

'...Present Volume 1' - The Krate Krusaders (free download)

The creators of two of 'On The Radar's best recieved tracks, Krate Krusaders, have yet another free giveaway for you.

The first volume kicks off with an excellent live MPC megamix of recognisable tracks which is followed by Remus and his track 'Respect Ur Elders' (from 'OTR Vol. 2) and then newcomer Vex takes over the mic for the bouncy, scratchy 'Vex is Dead'.

The ominous 'Pscience' features Clarity, Farma G and Cappo - each one dropping thrilling rhymes right on point.

Kasha, Logic, Ramson Badbonez (with 'OTR Vol. 3' track 'Incredible'), Fenetik, Saga Sphinx, Crucifix, Devi and Ahmos all get a piece of the beat action too. Download this and Krate Krusaders will keep your nead nodding, and all for the price of a five finger discount - top notchness this is.

Organix Part 2: 'Where Ya From?'

Here's the second installment of Organix featuring Trick, King David, Razamatazz, Scrabble, Dweller, Bert Digits, Mal, 777, T.A.D. and Pez.

Kanye v. MJ

Check out this well done comparison between Michael Jackson and Kanye West - love the MJ dance moves compilation and the laughably (and comparably) miniscule amounts of rewards, achievements and magazine covers that Kanye has had.

Watch Out For: Gen

Gen is one to watch out for. You may have already caught him tearing down stages with Asaviour and DJ IQ on their A-Loop Theory tour - if the Savvy seal of approval isn't enough then I also recommend him to you.

His new mixtape 'Forbidden Jutsu Vol.1' is set to be released on 9th September (that's 09/09/09) and he's told me he's currently recording an exclusive track for Certified Banger - so check that out probably on 'On The Radar Volume 5'.

Now, check him out on his myspace and also on the Saving Grace Music website. Click the button below to download a sampler of 'Forbidden Jutsu Vol. 1':

'Knock Knock' - Catraz (video)

Here's a pretty fun track from Bristol rapper Catraz. It came with the description Hip Pop - so I'm lucky I threw caution to the wind and listened 'cause it's not too shabby - reminds me of Kid Acne (whose graf work I saw some fine examples of in Sheffield today).
