Through that partnership also comes Chin’s biggest accomplishment to date; a Grammy Award win for Eminem’s album Recovery (Best Rap Album) where Chin wrote and performed on “Almost Famous” and “Talkin’ 2 Myself”. Other notable production credits include “Fear” by Drake, the Clipse’ single “Kinda Like a Big Deal” featuring Kanye West, “Could’ve Been You” by 50 Cent featuring R Kelly, and “Ansomnia” by Zaki Ibrahim which appeared on the major motion picture soundtrack for Tyler Perry’s For Colored Girls, starring Janet Jackson.
Chin’s latest project, the Peoples Mixtape, is an ode to those people who inspire Chin and are inspired by him, as well as a showcase of Chin’s versatility as a producer and love for a wide range of music. With features from David Banner, Jay Electronica, Talib Kweli, The New Royales, Bishop Lamont, Jasiri X, Moka Only, Shad, Maestro, Skratch Bastid, Kyprios, Chace Infinite, Krondon, Zaki Ibrahim, as well as two young rising artists from The Hastings Set; Sophia Danai and Omar Khan, it has a diversity that is not often seen in most music projects.
