Not many do what Slickmouth's done. This UK to US transplant now lives back in the UK and he's just dropped the first single, 'I Made It', from his street album 'Superstar.'I Made It' features a buoyant beat, a woman singing 'Let the horns blow' (and they do) and confident vocals from Slickmouth reminiscent of Lupe's. It's one of those tracks where you don't exactly hear every word but you just like the sound as a combination of it's elements.
I've just checked out his myspace, as you should. The beats have that real soulful sound that folk like me really want from Hip Hop!
