'Three Point One Four' - J-Treole (EP review)

‘Three Point One Four’ is Hip Hop band J-Treole’s new EP. Hip Hop band means real instruments with a real jazz leaning. Things are kept pretty funky and upbeat over the five tracks on which Mfon Essien raps in songwriter mode – there are no rap clichés here.

The band freshen up their chosen genre with some use of synths, a sample of legend Dizzy Gillespie, talkbox vocals and different rap flows. Opening track ‘In Due Time’ sets the tone perfectly – if you like the first minute of this EP, you’ll love the other twenty-two.

‘Three Point One Four’ is out now and is available directly from the band – grab yourself a copy and brighten up your life. Listen to 'In Due Time' now on the Certified Banger Podcast.
