'The Tour EP' - The Kemistry (EP review)

Fusing uptempo but blunted beats and sultry female vocals Bare Beats and Kemi are The Kemistry and their latest release is ‘The Tour EP’. Best for working with or relaxing to Kemi’s singing washes over the production as it drills into the listener’s consciousness. Taking a Hip Hop Soul approach to proceedings with the odd nod to 2 Step Garage (especially on ‘Zombies’), this EP is a pleasant listen.

‘Zombies’, ‘Window’ and ‘Plugin Baby’ are the standout tracks and ‘The Core’ features Canadian MC Modulok with some dark-ish imagery to compliment the frantic instrumental and the eerie singing.

‘The Tour EP’ is out now and is available at The Kemistry’s website for £4.
