'Infinite Love' - Sway ft. Talib Kweli

Infinite Love - Sway feat. Talib Kweli by HipHopConnect

Not a bad pairing eh? Taken from the forthcoming 'Beat The World. The Original Soundtrack'.

"Beat the World, written and directed by Robert Adetuyi (Stomp the Yard), is an engaging drama about top international dance crews coming from around the world to Detroit to compete in the International Hip Hop Dance Competition."

The soundtrack also features Ziggy Marley, K'Naan, Les Nubians, KRS One and Shad.

Track Of The Day: 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' - Sway

Sway dropped his new mixtape 'The Delivery 2: Lost In Transit' and this track had me in awe for sure.

All Swar (seems to be a new nickname his given himself) does is drop loads of Hip Hop quotables followed by a gap for the listener/crowd to finish off. Such a simple concept yet so fun to join in with - the missus and I had great fun on our road trip last night.

The rest of the mixtape is full of brand new classic Sway rhymes and regardless of your opinion on the man, you have to hand it to him; he's continually improving and has ensured that all audiences are covered with this free download release. His new trick seems to be fast rapping and tongue twisting multi-syllabic rhymes and the first track '2nd Delivery' is nothing short of jaw-dropping!

'Bring Me' ft. Klayz - Sway (video)

I'm always wondering if Sway is returning to his roots or not, but I think I'm going to give in because I can't tell any more. His last offerings have been quite poppy and he's featured on some tracks with some whack artists (who must just have the cash) but I like 'Bring Me'. I can well imagine this on 'This Is My Demo' even though it does have a more up-to-date sound. Whatevers with my analysis. Have a listen.

'Sway Against The World' - Sway

'Feeling Funky (remix)' Sway

Here's Sway's version of a track called 'Feeling Funky' by Funkin Kofi and produced by K.G - Sway should probably link this producer for some more African Dancehall type vibes.

'Mercedes Benz' - Sway (video)

“'Mercedes Benz' is all about the fun side of what I do – hitting the road, travelling from city to city tearing down parties and doing live shows. I wanted to take it back to basics and make something in the style of my original 'This Is My Promo' mixtapes, music where I’m havin a laugh, havin' some jokes and people can dance to it, you know?” - Sway

So that might explain but it still seems like he's going straight for the mainstream jugular - he wants to get that money! Don't we all though?

Whatever you think, beat is dope! Big up 45 King!

Sway Features

Couple of new Sway features here, not really feeling either to be honest. Both tracks are on a similar theme - disfunctional relationships. The first track is 'Red Handed' by Dzham and the second is 'He Said She Said' by Kobi Onyame:

Today's UK Hip Hop Free Stuff - Sway, Diversion Tactics, Percy Filth and more

There's decent music and stuff coming at me from all directions so here's another one of those posts where you can download a few unrelated tracks:

Just got Sway's version of 'Run This Town' - the Jay-Z track that most MCs are now riding. Sway does as well as you'd expect him to. In other Sway/Jay-Z news here's Sway chatting about Al Shux, Sway's boy who produced 'Little Derek', 'Products', 'Back 4 U' and 'Saturday Night Hustle', who has just produced 'Empire State Of Mind' on Jay-Z's 'Blueprint 3'. Oh, and here's the behind the scenes video for his latest single 'Mercedes Benz'.

Ed Strong of the almighty and underrated IRS crew sent me a new track from them this morning. It's called 'Cold City', it's produced by Wizard and is a return to form for the boys - it's got me reaching for their 2007 album 'The World Is Theirs'. Check the interview I did with them back then. Look out for a mixtape soon.

I can also point you towards some free clean downloads of Diversion Tactics forthcoming 12" single. 'Can't Swim' is produced by Zygote and Jazz T and 'Back To School' is produced by J-Zone! Both tracks are beasts and great examples of proper entertaining Hip Hop - watch how you relate to 'Back To School'!

I also picked up this track by Mr. Jinx over at his bandcamp page via the UKHH forum. The track is called 'Ha Ha Ha' and Mr. Jinx appears to be Scotlandish and may possibly be on Scotland Yard Recordings. Also, here's one of those youtube video things for his track 'It's Coming'.

You've probably heard this by now but Percy Filth dropped this little freebie of a beat on Twitter and I'm really feeling it so here it is: 'At The End Of The Day' - could by many a footballer's theme song.

Organix have dropped part 5 of their series and this time the topic is bad experiences and it features Mal, Scrabble, Dweller, Pez, Diligent, Fingers, T.A.D and Trick.

Here's a track by 'On The Radar' artist, Miss Tofelees. It's called 'Move', it features Kats, Domer and Ryan O'neil and is going to be on 'Almost Fameless Mixtape Vol.4', which will be released September 27th, as well as the Almost Fameless Mixtape UK Edition, which will feature a few previously released and unreleased tracks by Miss Tofelees and Jone$y including collaborations with several UK emcees (some of whom I've featured on Certified Banger) and other UK producers.

Lastly, here's a few tracks from newcomer Naturekid. You've got 'I Like Getting High', which is what it sounds like it is, (can anyone tell me which other song shares the sample?) there's 'Coolin'' which is actually by singer Terrence Mas featuring Naturekid and there's 'Bring Me Down' which features a bloke apparently called Crazy. See what you think peepholes.

7 UK Hip Hop Downloads...

It's been a long time, I shouldna... yeah you know it. I'm back just like all your favourite rappers everytime they bring out a new LP. Here's some dope stuff to step to:

Loudmouth Melvin's 'Summer Breeze' has a summery vibe (can you believe it?), a suitably silly chorus and some British Jay-Z type lyrics! It's taken from an E.P. he's putting out in August so watch for that.

I know I said I wasn't going to check any Jacko tributes but this is Sway, and 'The King Full Stop' is properly inspired - nice.

I'm loving the name of 'Bars on a Bass, Drum 'n' Snare' by Tempa, Shifty Spirit and Scorzayzee - it pretty much does what it says on the tin and it's nice. According to HHC it's produced by A.R. Mullah, it heads up a new compilation titled ‘CRS Entertainment’ which will drop in September featuring cats like Razor, Tayla Jade, Jah Digga and more.

A few heads on Twitter were all talking about this gem from back in the day: Marko Magik - 'Ladies Favourite' - go on have a massive chuckle!

Professor Green dropped the next track from 'The Lecture #2', it's called 'Open All Hours' and if you didn't catch it (because DMCA took down my post) then here's the first one: 'Ballers is Bouncin''.

If you missed that last one then your probably missed this too: Mystro's version of Drake's 'Best I Ever Had' entitled 'Mess I Ever Had'.

'Mercedes Benz' - Sway

Courtesy of the Grimecall blog is this radio rip of Sway's latest thing - 'Mercedes Benz'. Welcome back to 'The 900 Number'! OK so it's not the best Sway's done and it seems he's chasing the charts a little more than usual a la 'Wearing My Rolex'/'Keys To My Bentley' but I just thought you might like to hear it.

24/7, Sway show with Devin...

Here's one to attend - UK Hip Hop legend Sway and Devin? Goes without saying. If only I lived in London eh?!

'Shifty - The Mixtape' (free download)

Promoting a movie with a mixtape - now there's an idea eh? Shifty (which I didn't manage to get to last night) is out in cinemas on Friday and the crew have put together a mix of tracks and film dialogue for you to download.

It kicks of with the gorgeous strings of Roots Manuva's 'Dreamy Days' and then Burial kicks in - nice! On the UK Hip Hop side of things Riz MC, Sway, Plan B and Fallacy & Fusion feature. A fair few other genres are represented too by the likes of Bjork, Shy FX & T-Power and Toasty. Get it and bump it now for the general beats.
